Tis the season for Cypress Hill’s annual Haunted Hill Tour! And in Los Angeles, The Novo was the stage for a high dosage of these L.A. legends. Earlier this year, Cypress Hill became the first Latin hip hop group to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It was about time to check out a massive show of theirs. The energy of Sen Dog and B Real combined with Eric Bobo on the percussion, and the DJ skills of Mix Master Mike made it a complete experience.

The show started with the song “Band of Gypsies” from their recently released album Elephants on Acid, a strongly recommended listen. The sounds were fresh and got you going immediately while smoothly transitioning to the classics. At the time that “Tequila Sunrise” came up, the ground was vibrating from everyone jumping so hyped. When doing a medley all about weed, the sparks and smoke plumes from the audience sparking one (or two, or three or …) up were unstoppable.

Checking out Cypress Hill live is a must-do.
