The Australian sisters Findlay, of Stonefield, are back in the states touring their way to Europe. It was only a year ago when we interviewed them while they played their residency at the Bootleg and hoped for this kind of tour. They have grown quite a loyal following of fans with their heavy Sabbath-psych rock.

Stonefield just performed at a packed Zebulon. Fans made their way after their set to the merch table to show their support and get albums signed. If you haven’t heard, the best way to show support for a touring band is to BUY THEIR MERCH!!

Opening the night with some mysterious visuals was new band Secret Stare who have an interesting concept but do not have the tightness of a band that has been around a while. In the middle slot was Richard Rose who is not a person but a heavy punkish jam band fronted by Lawrence Rose which is also a stage name. It’s actually fronted by Chris Shaw of GØGGS who wobbled over the stage like a punk rock newborn giraffe. The rest of the band included a saxophone and some pretty metal guitar bass and drums.

We wish the ladies of Stonefield safe travels.
