Happy Sunday's music fest 2022

Happy Sundays is back in Long Beach, CA on August 28 another weekend of free live music and good vibes. Promising a “perfect, hassle-free day of music” that also gives back to the community by supporting local businesses, the music festival-sized event also boasts an eclectic lineup. If you’ve missed the previous two Happy Sundays this is your chance to end your summer on a truly spectacular note.

Created by Julia Kugel of The Coathangers and Scott Montoya, Happy Sundays has always sought to bring together a wide-ranging group of artists for its events. With names like Tropa Magica, Jagged Baptist Club, and Taleen Kali on the bill it’s pretty much a must-attend show. There’s also Kugel’s new solo project Julia, Julia who just released her debut single “Fever in My Heart,” newcomer Los Angeles rockers Young Winona, and raucous duo Broken Baby. There’s also still one surprise/secret headliner yet to be announced and with over twenty different acts performing you’ll absolutely be leaving the festival with probably a dozen new favorite bands. And if that wasn’t enough there’ll also be four DJ sets, a screening of “Queercore: How to Punk a Revolution,” and plenty of local cuisine to munch on.

“Our goal is to spread positivity to the community through music and good vibes,” Kugel said. Montoya adds: “Happy Sundays is our way of supporting the community and small business by bringing art and music to the people – Happy Sundays will always be free for this reason.”
