Storm Large is set to perform at the SOKA Performing Arts Center next month on Thursday, Dec. 8, continuing the stunning venue’s 2022-2023 season. If you haven’t yet had an opportunity to see this gem of Aliso Viejo there couldn’t possibly be a better time. With world-class acoustics designed by Yasuhisa Toyota (the same acoustic engineer of the Walt Disney Concert Hall), the SOKA Performing Arts Center has fostered a diverse catalog of performers in its programs. They recently kicked off their season with a performance by Ozomatli back in September — but the remaining events are filled with must-sees.

Tickets are currently on sale for Storm Large starting at $30-$60; Senior, Military, and Student options are available from $27-$58.50. And one sure to check out the other events taking place for the 2022-2023 season! Which includes performances by the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, Bob Baker Marionettes, a Celtic Christmas: “Outlander,” “Titanic” by Piper Eric Rigler with Dirk Freymuth and more.

As a musician, actor, playwright, and author — Storm Large first shot into the limelight thanks to an enigmatic appearance as a finalist on “Rock Star: Supernova” in 2006; and also made her debut as a guest vocalist with Pink Martini in 2011, but her rise was anything but a passing fad restricted to five minutes of fame. From singing in clubs in San Francisco and Portland in the 90s to performing a one-woman autobiographical musical memoir titled Crazy Enough (also her second album), Storm Large’s repertoire is anything if not unbridled. A vocal powerhouse who can seamlessly work with pop, jazz and rock, Storm Large smolders with excitement and is a must see and hear live.

Storm Large has released three albums over the course of her career including her 2007 debut Ladylike, Side One. And with plenty of experience performing at majestic venues alongside symphony orchestras, her show at the SOKA Performing Arts Center is sure to be one for the ages.
