Metallica have announced a 2023 / 2024 world tour that will take them through parts of North America, Mexico, and Europe. Metallica’s M72 world tour (see ticket options) will see the band playing two nights in every city it visits—with each No Repeat Weekend featuring two completely different setlists and support lineups. With a Los Angeles tour stop at SoFi Stadium Aug. 25 & 27, this will be Metallica’s only California tour date yet to be announced.
Presale tickets for Metallica’s world tour including their L.A. dates at SoFi Stadium will go on sale as early as Wednesday, Nov. 30. Tickets for all Metallica tour dates will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Dec. 2 at 10am. See the the Metallica presale code details below.
In addition to Metallica’s tour date in Los Angeles, the band has also announced tour dates at Lumen Field in Seattle, State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, Ford Field in Detroit and a lot more! The M72 tour will feature a bold new in-the-round stage design that relocates the famed Metallica Snake Pit to center stage, as well as the I Disappear full-tour pass and the debut of discounted tickets for fans under 16 years of age.

How To Get Presale Tickets to Metallica
Presale tickets for Metallica at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and all other tour dates will begin as early as Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 9am local venue time, with presale closing on Thursday, Dec. 1 at 10pm. The presale codes are listed below. Find a Metallica tour date in a city near you!
A portion of proceeds from every ticket sold will go to the band’s All Within My Hands foundation. Founded in 2017, AWMH’s efforts to assist and enrich the lives of members of the communities who have supported the band have raised nearly $13 million – providing $5.9 million in grants to career and technical education programs in the US, over $2.5 million to combat food insecurity, and more than $3.2 million to disaster relief efforts worldwide.
Metallica Fan Club Presale
A Metallica Fan Club Presale (Legacy members) will kick off on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 9am. The Legacy presale will be followed by Fifth Members Presale at 11am. Fans can join the Metallica Fan Club to gain access to a Metallica presale code.
Citi Presale
Citi is the official card of the M72 Tour. Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets in the U.S. beginning Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 2pm local time until Thursday, Dec. 1st at 10pm local time through the Citi Entertainment program. Will There Be Single Day Tickets for Metallica’s Tour?
Two-day tickets to Metallica’s M72 world tour will on go on sale to the general public on Friday, Dec. 2 and will include the option of pre-ordering 72 Seasons vinyl and/or CD. Single day tickets will be available beginning Jan. 20, 2023.
Hot Tips for Scoring Tickets:
The day of the presale (first presale is on Nov. 30 at 9am), login to your Ticketmaster account at least 30 minutes ahead of the presale time. If you don’t have one, create one now. Be sure to add your purchasing details (aka credit card info) for swift check-out. Once the presale starts, stay in the digital queue! Don’t refresh you page, don’t leave your page, do get those Metallica presale tickets!
And if you miss out on the presale, don’t worry, there is always the general on sale on Friday, Dec. 2 at 10am.

When Will Metallica’s New Album Come Out?
Metallica has confirmed the title and release date of its forthcoming 12th studio album: 72 Seasons will be available April 14, 2023 via the band’s own Blackened Recordings. Produced by Greg Fidelman with Hetfield & Ulrich, and clocking in at over 77 minutes, the 12-track 72 Seasons is Metallica’s first full length collection of new material since 2016’s Hardwired…To Self-Destruct.

Speaking on the concept of the album title, James Hetfield said: “72 seasons. The first 18 years of our lives that form our true or false selves. The concept that we were told ‘who we are’ by our parents. A possible pigeonholing around what kind of personality we are. I think the most interesting part of this is the continued study of those core beliefs and how it affects our perception of the world today. Much of our adult experience is reenactment or reaction to these childhood experiences. Prisoners of childhood or breaking free of those bondages we carry.”
