After 15 years, Los Angeles alt rockers, Failure, have reunited. The band once very active in the 90s will return to L.A. and play their first show in 15 years on Feb. 13 at the El Rey Theatre. Post grunge, alt metal, art-rock — classify Failure as you wish, but one thing for sure is, these guys have always shredded some crazy guitar and sonic soundscapes. You can thank their five-year-old kids for the Failure reunion. According to a recent interview with SPIN, frontman Ken Andrews and fellow songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Greg Edwards had rekindled their relationship the past five years (after an unpleasant break-up in ’97) because they both have 5-year-old kids. It was a great icebreaker indeed!

Tickets to Failure at the El Rey Theatre will go on-sale this Thursday, Nov. 7 at 10 am. The Show is all-ages and tickets are priced at $20 + service fees. The first 250 ticket purchasers at Amoeba Music, Origami Vinyl and Ax.com will receive a limited edition 7-inch featuring two rarities.
