Alt-synthpop group, Polica packed the Fonda Theatre this past Wednesday for an incredible set. Touring in support of their sophomore album, Shulamith, Polica’s streamy electro-psych and R&B sounds got the crowd intoxicated with their sexy vibes. It was a captivating performance where Polica closed with a Leslie Gore encore.
Supporting Polica were Marijuana Deathsquads. They were an interesting electronic noise band and totally different from Polica. At first, the audience didn’t quite know what to make of them, but in the end it looked like the crowd enjoyed their improv-esque sounds.
