Thee Oh Sees John Dwyer solo album

Just less than a couple weeks ago, it was announced that after a 14-year run pumping out some epic garage punk, Thee Oh Sees were going on an indefinite hiatus. Naturally fans weren’t happy about this. Front man John Dwyer made clear that the band was not breaking up. In a statement he shared, “this is just a well deserved break and a transitional period.” In fact, the band plans to release a new album in the Spring and “we will see where the live show goes from there.” In the meantime however, it looks like Dwyer is ready to share his solo effort under the moniker Damaged Bug. Below you can stream his new song titled “Eggs At Night”. Dwyer keeps it weird and recorded the song using “synthesizers, drum machines, and assorted hand-made electronics”. It definitely has an 80s post-punk / new wave vibe to it.  Damaged Bug will release his first solo LP on Feb. 25 via Dwyer’s label.
