It’s not as floaty and trippy, but it sure is lovely. Alex Turner and Matt Helders of the Arctic Monkeys have covered Tame Impala’s “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards”. The cover was recorded for Australia’s Triple J radio where every Friday morning a musician or band comes into the studio to play one of their own songs and a cover of a song they love. Nothing beats the original Tame Impala number, but it sure is dreamy watching (and hearing) Alex sing this song.
After selling out three nights at the Wiltern last fall, the Arctic Monkeys continue to tour in support of their critically acclaimed fifth album, AM. The Arctic Monkeys will headline the STAPLES Center on Thursday, August 7th with special guests Black Rebel Motorcycle Club!
