Echo Park’s Mystic Braves have released an infectious new diddy titled “Great Company.” The songs comes from the band’s forthcoming album, New Days of Yesterday. Much like the majority of Mystic Braves catalog “Great Company” is a hazy psychedelic pop number full of 60s swagger. With a much more polished sound that includes the exotic strums of a sitar, Mystic Braves have definitely kicked it up a few notches. New Days of Yesteryear  will be the band’s third album and it’s looking to be their finest.

“These new songs are along the same lines as what we’ve been doing, but we’ve elevated the songwriting,” Ducatenzeiler says. “We’ve always been a pop-structured psych band and we’re continuing along those lines, but we’re trying some new things out as well.”

Mystic Braves are currently touring the West Cost with a headlining hometown show at the Teragram Ballroom this Friday, September 4. Supporting Mystic Braves are No Parents, The Abigails and The Creation Factory. Tickets are still available here. The band is also slated to perform at the annual Beach Goth at The Observatory on October 24. Get tickets here.
