Los Angeles’ funk ‘n’ bass master extraordinaire, Thundercat has released a new video for the track “For Tokyo” off his new album Drunk. Shot throughout his tour in Japan, the video captures Thundercat’s love for the city of Tokyo, and the country of Japan. From sushi to anime, video games and more, the Grammy award-winning bassist, Thundercat has much love for Japan and his new video “For Tokyo” shows it all. The video was directed by Jun Hanamoto-Hearn and shot on location in Tokyo earlier this year. Watch it below!

Sweating under his hot pink locks and adorned as the funk master supreme in a purple robe, Thundercat just wrapped a stellar performances at FYF this past weekend. “Shooting hot fire from his fingertips and losing his own mind with every riff, Thundercat paid homage to his namesake by refusing to be anything except a ferocious lightning rod of insane grooves.” And now, fans from all over the map can experience a smooth dose of Thundercat as he embarks on an extensive fall tour including North American & International tour dates.

Thundercat has announced a Los Angele area date. As part of his tour, Thundercat will headline The Glass House in Pomona on Saturday, Sept. 2. Tickets to the show are $25 and all-ages!
