Awe man, this was some serious sad news this afternoon. The eccentric and innovative Captain Beefheart (Don Glen Vliet) passed away this rainy LA afternoon on Friday, December 17, 2010. The man was going though some serious struggles with multiple sclerosis and has now left his human life to join his fellow music legends in another zone.
R.I.P. Captain Beefheart, pouring out some drinks for you tonight and listening to some “Safe as Milk .”
Absolutely love this song and I find it rather suiting for his passing.
