The spectacular and unique African orchestrations of Tinariwen graced the Luckman Fine Arts Complex this past Saturday, Oct. 29 with support from  Sophie Hunger. Creating a sweet gumbo of world music with an array of exotic instruments including acoustic and electric guitars, electric bass, drums, and gnarled picking patterns from West African lutes—it was truly a majestic evening that can not be described with words alone. There was just so much stunning visuals going on along with the skilled orchestrations dripping full of life.

Take a look at the gorgeous photos of Tinariwen’s performance below. We also took some shots of supporting act Sophie Hunger who also put on an amazing show.
