The Budos Band is the quintessence of Staten Island soul. Drums, bass, guitar, bongos, congas, trumpets and more were heard LOUD and PROUD at the Echoplex spreading the epidemic of “Budos Fever.” This all-instrumental Afro-soul band directly from New York, rocked the house along with opening act Ethio-Cali Ensemble, lead by L.A.’s own trumpet arranger Todd Simon—who joined Budos for the last few songs. There was a vibrant, packed crowd at the Echoplex all amped on good vibes because of the dope sounds of Budos. These guys seriously have style for days with their slick jams that just make you want to groove in the most sensual of ways. In three words, Budos’ music is: smooth, vibrant and seductive.

Not only do these guys sound good, they are also pretty hot (in many senses). And did we hear a little metal there? Budos are just too damn good.
