Formed in 1989, Germany’s The Notwist brought their unique blend of experimental indie rock to the Fonda Theatre this past Sunday. With a wide array of genres etched in their catalog, The Notwist dabbled in everything from dark rock/metal to jazz-electro, and more recently digging deep into an indie-electronic sound with their 2014 album Close to the Glass. Captivating the audience with their fresh sound, fans had perma-grins stamped across their faces as they swayed to the tunes. With an intoxicating energy the crowd soaked up the eclectic mix of music as they watched in pure awe and amazement. There wasn’t a frown in the room.
