Sarah McLachlan is heading to North America next year with the announcement of The Fumbling Towards Ecstasy 30th Anniversary Tour scheduled for next summer. The Fumbling Towards Ecstasy 30th Anniversary Tour will consist of 30 dates across North America featuring support from both Feist and Allison Russell on select dates. After back-to-back performances at Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery in Seattle she will head down the coast to California for a string of dates. These include stops at The Greek Theatre in Berkeley, Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, Acrisure Arena at Greater Palm Springs, and The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park in San Diego. She will also play iconic venues like Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado and Merriweather Post Pavilion in Maryland.

The tour will serve as a revisitation of McLachlan’s third studio album Fumbling Towards Ecstasy — which arrived three decades ago in 1993 via Le Studio. Its singles “Possession,” “Hold On,” “Ice Cream,” and “Good Enough,” just a few of the hits that launched the record toward platinum status in Canada. In honor of the record McLachlan will be playing the album in its entirety every night of the tour.

“I think it’s interesting as an artist or as a human for that matter, to be able to go back and look at a postcard of a time in your life and reflect on it,” said McLachlan. “I think this tour is going to be a real walk down memory lane for me, and I’m hoping that my audience, many of whom have been with me for 30 years, will also be able to go back in time with me.”

What Are Official Platinum Tickets?

If you see expensive tickets that are not VIP packages, those are official platinum tickets. These tickets are offered well over standard ticket prices, which is unfair to fans. The Event Organizer(s) have priced these tickets according to their market value (aka dynamic pricing). In other words, ticket pricing can go up or down and usually goes up.

Official platinum tickets do not include VIP packages. The only positive thing about them is that they make buying floor or front-row tickets to a high-demand concert easy if you’re willing to shed the extra cash. They can sometimes be purchased during a presale without a presale code. Availability and pricing for official platinum tickets are subject to change based on demand.

Pro Tips When Buying Your Tickets

First, on the day of the presale or general onsale (whichever you prefer), login to your Ticketmaster account (go to my account or sign in located on the upper right corner of the page) 30 minutes ahead of the sale time. If you don’t have one, create one now.

Be sure to add your billing info (aka credit card info) before jumping into the digital queue for a quick check-out. Once the presale starts, remain in the digital queue. Only use one browser window because using multiple browsers or devices and multiple accounts with the same phone number can result in errors. Trust, it’s happened to us before! Don’t refresh your page, do be patient, don’t leave your page, do get those tickets!

What To Do If Tickets Are Sold Out?
