With a lineup filled with soul & funk royalty, Fool In Love was the festival to be at over Labor Day weekend. From the Jacksons and Diana Ross to The O Jays and the Mary Jane Girls, the Hollywood Park Grounds at Sofi Stadium transformed into a jukebox filled with doo-wop and cruising classics on Saturday. Unfortunately, if you were kicking off your 3-day weekend at the 4-stage, 70+ artists festival, you were probably met with a logistic nightmare amongst the beautiful, soulful sounds.
With absurdly long check-in lines, little to no difference between ticket tiers, overcrowding, limited walking space due to the influx of lawn chairs, and many technical difficulties, the hiccups felt endless.

But even through all the festival challenges, fans filled the special day with joyful faces and grooved to the legendary oldies while making space for contemporaries in the genres. With lowriders on display and those classic GFunk samples, the crowd celebrated authentically, speaking to the heart and soul of the City of Angels.
