The conversations surrounding Emily Armstrong of Linkin Park, Chrissie Carnell Bixler, and Cedric Bixler-Zavala continue through the weekend. Chrissie and Cedric shared new messages on Saturday, Sept. 7, directed to Emily Armstrong and the band Linkin Park.

In her Instagram Stories, Chrissie shared a lengthy message which included the following:

“If you’re not going to speak out against the human and child trafficking cult in which you are apart of and in which you enable by remaining silent on the crimes you know about then you have no right to fill the shoes of Chester Bennington, a true advocate.”

Chrissie also shared a YouTube clip from @literallyserge, “a survivor of Scientology child trafficking and unthinkable abuses.”

Cedric reposted his wife’s statement in-feed on his Instagram along with his own comment to Emily and directly to the band Linkin Park.

“As for you @linkinpark …. You should fire your entire team for not thoroughly vetting your choice. You’re a Disney level brand trying to make a comeback and you didn’t think to spend a little money on looking into her? Stop playing at the drive in’s music on your pre show playlist.”

Cedric’s wife, Chrissie, was one of several women pursued rape charges against Danny Masterson, who is now serving 30 years to life in prison for rape.

Emily Armstrong, Linkin Park’s new singer, will be heading on tour with them beginning September 11th. She is also the lead singer and co-founder of the Los Angeles-based rock band Dead Sara. Earlier this week, musician and singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala (The Mars Volta, At The Drive-In) called out Emily for her support of her “friend” and charged rapist Danny Masterson, who she supported during his preliminary trials. Cedric also brought up her ties to Scientology and the church’s alleged behavior against the women who pursued rape charges against Masterson.

Armstrong issued a statement that lived for just 24 hours on her Instagram stories. Fans across social media and forums criticized her statement for lack of accountability, not creating a formal apology, and not speaking on her ties to Scientology and their alleged bullying of victims, child trafficking and other immoral behavior.

In a surge of comments on Instagram across all party’s recent posts and music blogs such as Grimy Goods and Stereogum, many fans of the newly reformed band (Linkin Park) and survivors of sexual assault are hurt by Armstrong’s lack of apology and silence regarding her involvement with the Church of Scientology.

Over the years, the church of Scientology has faced much criticism and legal issues. The Church of Scientology’s leader was served 27 times in two states with a federal lawsuit that accused him of human trafficking.

Danny Masterson is a known Scientologist who is currently in prison for multiple counts of rape. A proposed amended civil lawsuit targeting the Church of Scientology details what some former members describe as a “criminal enterprise” that uses ill-gotten monies to garner influence that protects abusers and intimidates anyone who speaks out against Scientology.

Leah Remini has been an outspoken critic of the Church of Scientology since she left the controversial religion in 2013.

On Friday, September 6th, Grimy Goods contacted Linkin Park’s publicists at Warner Records for a statement from Emily Armstrong. We have yet to receive a response.
