Hip-Hop for Peace has organized a very special event taking place Saturday, Oct. 27 at Resident in downtown LA. The event will celebrate a night of hip-hop, music, poetry, and solidarity as Hip-Hop 4 Peace joins forces to raise funds to support critical causes in Palestine, DR Congo, Lebanon, and Sudan.
Hosted by Medusa and Hamzah Saadah, the event will feature performances by Immortal Technique, Dizaster, Saul Williams, Desiree Dawson, Abe Batshon, Emilio Rojas, and more.
DJ Ethos and K-Salaam will be throwing down the beats, while a lineup of breakers will be throwing down the moves: Lily Breeze, Thesis, Somar, and Krillan. There also will be a live art installation by Allen Maldonado.
Tickets start at $20. Doors are at 5pm and this is a 21+ event.
Hip-Hip 4 Peace in Los Angeles will benefit the following orangizations: Sudanese Diaspora Network, The Gaza Sponsor an Orphan Initiative, Save The Children – DR Congo, and the Lebanese Red Cross.
