The blue carpet was rolled out for one of Latin pop’s brightest stars this past Saturday night at The Novo in downtown Los Angeles. The Argentina-born, Spain-raised Nathy Peluso showcased why she’s poised to become the next reigning queen of the genre. With an electrifying stage presence and unparalleled dance moves, she commanded the stage effortlessly, captivating her adoring fans during her sold-out “GRASA” tour show in Los Angeles.
From beginning to end, her audience was spellbound by her magnetism, singing along at the top of their lungs as she ran through live renditions of their favorite tracks. Her voice, much like her eyes, exhibits a captivating duality. She embodies power and strength like a true “Business Woman,” sensuality and “EROTIKA,” plus added fire and ice while showcasing incredibly powerful vocals intertwined with rapid-fire raps on songs like “Aprender a amar” and my favorite song of the night, “Real.” It’s awe-inspiring.
When Nathy stepped onto the soft carpeted stage, the spotlight was on to sing “Corleone,” that microphone was live, and there was no hint of lip-syncing. For almost two hours, Nathy effortlessly had everyone’s attention. All eyes were fixated on her, cemented with smiles. She’s incredible, and now we see (and hear) why.
There was a touching moment when Nathy sat down between songs to showcase her love for her fans and wish them happiness through all their hardships—a moment of pure joy. Before the show ended, doting fans showed their appreciation for Nathy with gifts, including a plushie and a massive blanket of Luis Miguel.
