UPDATE SEPT. 9, 2025 – Lady Gaga Announces New Mayhem Ball Tour Dates for 2026 Inlcuding Encore Shows in Los Angeles
I took my child to Lady Gaga‘s Mayhem Ball Tour at The Forum in Los Angeles, and it was quite the mind-blowing experience. Our family attends numerous shows for both work and pleasure; however, I’ve never seen anything quite like the Mayhem Ball. Full of Gothic and macabre, singing, dancing, theatrics, and more — Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Ball was a relentless feast for the senses.
Aside from the muggy heat in our section, which often made us feel claustrophobic, the concert was an absolute wonder and kept my little one captivated with each act and each song that Lady Gaga and her fabulous dance crew bestowed on us. Thankfully, we took several breaks on the patio and drank plenty of water to keep us dancing with the rest of the little monsters.
While my daughter has been to numerous concerts and music festivals, what made Lady Gaga‘s Mayhem Ball tour stop in Los Angeles all the more special was that this was the first concert she personally requested. It wasn’t for Daddy’s work, and it wasn’t for Mami’s work; it was her choice and her birthday wish. As parents who both work in music, it was so endearing to have our little girl finally ask to go to a concert of her own choosing. Now, Lady Gaga will be her first core memory of an arena show. I look forward to the day when we can look back at these videos and photos when she’s a teenager and bond over another Lady Gaga show.

Now, for the golden question that many parents have been asking: Is Lady Gaga a good concert for kids? Well, that depends on your parenting style. For our family, it was the perfect concert for our daughter to experience a safe space and a community of fans that love to dance, sing, and be free. Everyone was so welcoming and charmed by such a young little monster (and our daughter wasn’t the only child there). While there were plenty of swear words, that’s nothing new for our kid. We’ve taken the time to explain to her why people use “bad words” to express themselves, especially in music.

The only off-putting experience that took quite a lot of explaining was the fanatic “Trust Jesus” people yelling their close-minded judgments from across the street as they carried pitchfork-like signs that read “God is angry with the wicked” and “repent from all your sins.”
While I wish we had made it through Gaga’s entire show, my daughter started to fizzle out during Act IV: Every Chessboard Has Two Queens. Between the heat, and being accustomed to an early bedtime, she was starting to crash from all the sugary gothic treats offered in The Forum Club (see video below). On the bright side, she got to experience all her favorite Gaga songs, sans “Bad Romance” which was the final act.
With all that said, watch our show review videos from Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Ball at The Forum in Los Angeles. It shows exactly why Lady Gaga is such a spectacular concert experience for kids.
