What fans are saying:
“The heartbreak in Beth’s voice lends such gravity to the use of this song as a vehicle for protest against the injustice of the extended suffering of innocent Palestinians.” ~ @rossmckenzie9985
“Beth is still in possession of one of the purest voices we’ve ever heard. This song has always astounded me: lesser musicians would have showboated with fills and licks. The beauty and strength of Geoff and Adrian is the restraint and discipline they show, only giving the song exactly what it requires. Portishead are to be treasured forever.” ~ @ianmcmillan2762
“Personally, I´ve always think that Roads in its original form, is about human personal fragility (as well for) my own personal fragility. And for Together for Palestine, it was transformed into a collective lament, a political statement, its beauty used to grieve, resist, and demand justice. Thanks for your voice, emotions, Beth Gibbons. Thanks, Portishead. Beautiful Act of Solidarity.” ~ @DavidGarridoMX
Executive produced by Brian Eno, who also performed at the concert, Together For Palestine raised money for “Palestinian-led organisations at the frontline of the crisis, such as Taawon, the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, and the Palestine Medical Relief Society. 100% of donations made to Choose Love will support the Together For Palestine Fund and every penny goes to Palestinian organisations operating on the ground in Gaza.”
