Hailing from New Zealand, brothers Henry and Pierre Beasley are a force not to be reckoned with. Having formerly toured with Twenty-One Pilots, and with the recent release of their debut album Portal, the boys brought their charming and kinetic performance to the Fonda Theatre in Hollywood on a Thursday night alongside support from their friends, Harper and Tommy Newport.
Balu Brigada opened the show with their jangly indie rock banger, “Golden Gate Girl.” The crowd kept its high energy throughout the night, illuminating the disco ball hanging from the center of the room with their cell phone lights during “The Question”. Well into the night, the Balu Brigada performed a fantastic cover of Grimes’ “Oblivion”, adding their own spin on riffs to the song.

It’s safe to say those in attendance witnessed something extraordinary. Balu Brigada is one not to miss.
