Slow motion and a bunch of pro skaters. That pretty much sums up Warpaint’s new double-feature video for “Disco//very” & “Keep It Healthy”. This is the first official video from their sophomore LP, Warpaint, released this past January. Set in the lush landscape of Hollywood Hills and then transitioning to a thrashing skate session at the Griffith Ditch, the video feature pro skaters Justin Eldridge, Patrick Melcher, Kris Markovich, Rob Smith and Victor Zanoni. The tomboy-dressed ladies of Warpaint also show off some very funky (funny) dance moves in the first half of the video.
So why all the skateboarding? Apparently, Warpaint developed the concept and asked Laban Pheidias to direct. A former pro skater himself, Pheidias has won awards for his work in television as well as music videos.
But really though, which Warpaint girl is dating a pro skater?
