Getting the party started right for Culture Collide weekend, the Echoplex hosted three incredible performances this past Thursday. , De Lux and Holychild all took the stage and absolutely killed it. Headlining the evening was the sultry Danish song-bird, MØ (aka Karen Marie Ørsted). With a powerful performance, the crowd was treated to songs from MØ’s critically acclaimed debut album, No Mythologies to Follow which was released Feb. 21st via Sony Music. The girl can get down and low with all that soul, but she can also turn the heat up and and get the crowd jumping to her every word. By far, MØ gives 100 percent on the stage; she even took a graceful stage dive into the crowd where fans happily surfed her across the Echoplex while she kept singing into her mic.

As always, L.A.’s De Lux put on a fun-filled indie-pop performance with their Talking Heads-esque grooves. These boys always get the crowd swaying, if not dancing. Bringing out that “brat pop” were the spunky Holychild. Your little sister probably loves this bubbly duo.
