Washed Out brought their signature and chill vibes to the Observatory in Santa Ana this past Friday, full band and all. And my, was it a brilliant performance. As the mood-inducing brainchild of Ernest Greene, Washed Out delivered a dose of ambient sounds mixed with soaring vocals and the arena-size sound of their full band. Fans were elated to hear songs from both of Washed out’s incredible albums, Within and Without (2011) and Paracosm (2013). Judging by the euphoric looks on the crowd’s faces, they were happily drifting on Cloud 9.
