It’s true, people gotta pay their bills—and in the music industry—sometimes that means “selling out.” FIDLAR have released a cheeky new video for their new pop-punk song “40oz. ON REPEAT.” FIDLAR have also announced that their second full length album, Too, will be released on September 4th via Mom + Pop Music. Directed by Ryan Baxley, as you watch FIDLAR’s hilarious new video for “40oz. ON REPEAT” you’ll see a lot of familiar pop stars and bands being impersonated by FIDLAR. From Brittany Spears, to KORN, and Sugar Ray—FIDLAR’s new video pretty much looks like a montage of early 2000’s TRL (Total Request Live) on MTV. And who knew that front man Zac Carper would make such a pretty Britney Spears!

“We decided that instead of making one overly slick music video, we would nod to 15 of our favorite music videos that we grew up with,” shared Carper in a press release. “Everyone in the band threw in their ideas.”

FIDLAR’S new album, Too was recored in Nashville over the span of just two weeks. This is the first time FIDLAR has worked with a producer (Jay Joyce). In the past, FIDLAR had recorded and produced all of their music themselves. Perhaps the new song and video reveal is a warning sign to longtime fans that their forthcoming album has a heavier pop sound than expected? Or maybe it is just an ode to their favorite music videos from their youth.

FIDLAR have announced an extensive headlining U.S. tour this coming September and October. The band will kick off their tour run in Denver, CO on September 9th and wrap up on Halloween for a hometown show at the Regent Theater (they also play The Regent on the 30th). Tickets will go on sale this Friday, June 5 at 10am (Regent ticket links below). More tour dates below!
