Deerhunter have shared a glistening new song and video for “Breaker”. The track is the second to be shared from the band’s forthcoming album Fading Frontier. The song is a bright and lovely number which for the first time, features two of Deerhunter’s founding members, Bradford Cox and Lockett Pundt, sharing vocal duties in their first ever duet. Directed by Bradford Cox (additional photography from Lockett Pundt), the video stars Cox and Pundt alongside Deerhunter members Moses Archuleta and Josh McKay. Deer hunter’s new song “Breaker” follows the release of last month’s riveting “Snakeskin” single. With “Breaker” we find a much more soft, airy and soothing feel, while “Snakeskin” likes to rattle your bones with a garage rock strut. We’re loving the diversity that Deerhunter is delivering in both sound and style. Fading Frontier is set for release October 16 via 4AD. You can preorder the album here.
