Damn, this song is just fuckin beautifully orchestrated with some delicious vocals to match. Makes me wish I was back in Brazil for three months of hedonistic bliss.
Fool’s Gold, the LA collective that weaves together western art-pop aesthetics with African rhythms and melodies, will release their self-titled, debut album on Sept. 29 on IAMSOUND. They’ll be shaking dance floors across the country this fall when they tour in support of this release. Playing select shows with London’s electro-pop outfit, Metronomy, Fool’s Gold will also play two shows in Chicago as part of the World Music Festival.
Additionally, Fool’s Gold will spend five days in New York on Oct. 15 – 20, playing various venues. Catch them kick off their heavily anticipated tour with a performance on KCRW’s “Morning Becomes Eclectic” on Oct. 25. Word is already beginning to spread far and wide about this talented band and it looks like its just the beginning!
Download and listen to their vibrant dance anthem “Surprise Hotel.” It’s almost seven minutes of sheer delight and will have you wishing you were on the white sands of an exotic beach dancing the night away.
