Atlas Sound at The Natural History Museum – Show Review and Photo Gallery

He may look like some dorky kid from Georgia, but Atlas Sound’s Bradford Cox, is pretty much the shit and he can put out some pretty epic music. Also the man behind Deerhunter, Atlas Sound is a name Cox has used since he was 10 to refer to his own music.

Drenched with a psychedelic orchestra or organic sounds riding over Cox’s, enchanting dreamlike vocals, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles kicked off a proper “First Fridays,” this past Jan. 8. Some of Atlas Sound’s tunes play the perfect soundtrack to some sleepy love-making. You know, the kind you wake up top in the early morning or middle of the night when you’re still in a dreamlike state? Mmmm, goods.

The Tune-Yards also played with Atlas Sound. It was a kick-ass show! Check out the photos below. For more “First Fridays” shows at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, click here!
