For those of you that want a breath of fresh sound (away from the indie buzz scene), we highly recommend you check out Femi Kuti & The Positive Force at the El Rey Theatre on May 12, 2011. Fans already know what a vibrantly colorful show Femi puts on, full of pulsating percussion and that infectious Afrobeat rhythm sprinkled in with a punk attitude. Not to mention he rises from a very renowned Nigerian legacy (Fela Kuti). Femi has also collaborated with hip hop heads, Mos Def and Common amongst others making his live shows an even more amazing. You never know who’s going to show up at Femi performance and take on some dope collabos … hmmm
