It’s gonna be a day filled with nothing but great tunes and even better vibes as the Echoplex hosts The Power of the Riff Festival on Saturday, August 11, 2012! Seriously, the lineup is insane with so many great bands that you’ll in for a real musical treat. Playing the festival will be : Sunn O))), OFF!, Dr. Know, Repulsion. Noothgrush, Xibalba, Eagle Twin, Power Trip, Ancestors, Alpha & Omega, Gaza, DNF, Retox, Love Below, Avon Ladies, Cops, Hordes, Xaphan and more! Of The 3rd annual festival continues to bring you a tradition of heavy music from slow drones to aggressive crust ridden darkness.

It’s an event that honors fans and musicians of ‘heavy music’ of all ages. Tapping into a line up that represents the forefathers, milestones and current touring acts, while shedding light on ‘up and coming’ acts and local acts.The festival is an all day, all ages, music event that also includes a record swap meet of local stores and features pop up stores by indy record labels. Curated DJ sets in between performances. In addition, the festival features a gourmet food truck court of Los Angeles’ best purveyors of street food dining.
