Death Valley Girls, a lauded up-and-coming garage rock band from Los Angeles have released a killer new garage bomb titled “Arrow.” The song comes from their Street Venom cassette tape which was just released off Burger Records. The cassette features 10 garage rock anthems inspired by the reverb-soaked sounds of the 60s. Just like “Arrow”, the entire cassette is pretty groovy. The band’s glorious, lo-fi sound incorporates healthy doses of distortion and fuzz, cool female vocals, and at times seems to channel the spirit of the Cramps or the Velvet Underground. Death Valley Girls are Patty (former drummer of Hole), Larry (guitar), Bonnie (guitar/lead vocals) and Rocky (bass babe).
