While you will most likely be spending a lot of time indoors this weekend (those that live in our fine city of Los Angeles), you should probably take the time to listen to each and every one of these amazing new albums all coming out next week. Instead of making it a movie night, make it a music night. Listen to the darkwave electro from TRUST, or get down with some rockin’ doo wop soul jams with Ava Luna, or get all ethereal with the gorgeous guitar-driven sounds from Nothing. Also in the mix is Pharrell’s new album, as well as a hot new electro album from Roman Remains. Stream them all below!

1. TRUST — Joyland

In 2012 we fell obsessed with Canadian duo, TRUST’s debut album. Now with more of a solo focus on front-man Robert Alfons, TRUST continues to deliver that dark-wave electro. Joyland is provocative, yet exudes sullen synth pop vibes that stays true to TRUST’s signature sound.

2. Pharrell — G I R L

With a casual album cover featuring beautiful women in bathroom robes from all the best hair colors (brunette, red, black) — Pharrell’s new album features special guests Daft Punk, Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus, and Alicia Keys. G I R L is the follow up to Pharrell’s 2006 album In My Mind. The album will be released March 4th via Columbia.

3. Roman Remains — Zeal

At first listen, Roman Remains’ first track “This Stone Is Starting To Bleed,” immediately reminded us of Austra. As the new side project of Liela Moss and Toby Butler (from The Duke Spirit), this album is a sexy mix of industrial goth and synth-driven electro pop. It’s pretty amazing that the record was written on the road and recorded during a break in the band’s touring schedule.

4. Nothing — Guilty of Everything

Hailing from Philly, the background on Nothing is pretty damn heavy. Singer and guitarist Domenic Palermo used to deal with a lot of cocaine and guns in the crime-infested neighborhood of Kensington. You would never think that after listening to the beautiful amplified sounds and melodies of Nothing’s new album, Guilty of Everything. It’s a masterful work of experimental rock with heavy guitars and soaring harmonies.

5. Ava Luna — Electric Balloon

This album is a delightful mix of everything we love. It pops and sizzles with blues, soul, riot grrrl punk and good ole rock ‘n’ roll. There is nothing boring about Electric Balloon, it’s exactly what an album should be — infectious track-after-track and leaving you with the sudden urge to play it all over again. And trust, you will hit “repeat.”
