sonos

Sonos is taking your typical “sleepover” to a whole new level. This Saturday, Aug. 16, Sonos invites you to Tonalism, a dusk-to-dawn event inspired by La Monte Young’s “Dream House” as well as the work of musician and composers such as Terry Riley, Yoko Ono and John Cage. If you’re a music nerd and love geeking out on music tech meets art, this is the perfect event for you. Combining music with harmonious textures, eight artists will take turns working through the night to improvise pieces of live music inside the Studio’s current exhibition “Algo-Rhythms” to create an ever-evolving piece of art. The entire night’s audio will be fed through a Sonos Connect, creating individual listening environments throughout the Studio. Guests are encouraged to pack a sleeping bag and pillow and spend the night to get the full aural and visual experience! Tea, water and light snacks will be provided to all guests. Sweet dreams.

You can RSVP for this FREE all night ambient music experience here. The event will take place at Sonos Studio on Saturday, Aug. 16 at 6 p.m. until Sunday, Aug. 17 at 6 a.m.
