Jens Lekman shares lead single off new album - Los Angeles date at Teragram Ballroom

Swedish singer/songwriter, Jens Lekman is back with a new album, tour dates and a really hot new single that we can’t get enough of! Lekman has announced his new album, Life Will See You Now, set for release February 17th via Secretly Canadian. The 10-track record will be Lekman’s third studio album and it “plays with notions of identity and the self” while representing a significant move forward.

With Lenkman’s 2012 release, I Know What Love Isn’t, the album marked a painful relationship and carried a sad tone throughout. Lekman’s latest release flips the script with an upbeat vibe telling stories about the wonders of relationships, along with the not-so-great bits. From disco, calypso, samba and bossa nova—Lenkman plays with a variety of exciting sounds that helped create his fresh sound palette. You can most definitely hear that funky, fresh calypso influence with “What’s That Perfume That You Wear?” The track is the lead single of Lekman’s forthcoming Life Will See You Now and it’s absolutely delicious. In celebration of Lekman’s new album, he will take off on a headline tour through North America in February and March 2017, as well as the UK and Scandinavia in March and April.

Los Angeles fans can catch Jens Lekman live at the Teragram Ballroom on Monday, February 27. Tickets to the show are priced at $25.
