FYF Fest has come strong on music diversity this year. However this variety display is not limited to the festival. “FYF Presents” brings a sizzling gumbo of shows to different LA venues throughout the year. Just recently, the new Frog Town concert venue, Cafe Zebulon hosted two packed nights of Afrobeat with a strong performance by Seun Kuti and Egypt 80.

The show sold out quickly and a second night had to be added to fulfill the long awaited demand.
Oluseun Anikulapo Kuti better known as Seun Kuti carries a historical legacy. Son of key figure Fela Kuti, Seun performs with his father’s legendary band Egypt 80. Blending the sounds of Africa with an amazing horn section and a swift display of saxophone skills, Seun’s performance was beyond energetic. He shared critical thoughts and awakeness that the audience eagerly listened and welcomed. There was a lot of dancing and sweating throughout the night and this show is one of the most fiery ones I’ve witnessed this year.
