Death Valley Girls release slammin' new song with video featuring Iggy Pop

That new Death Valley Girls track is so ill it gives me chills. As I hit play on my new songs playlist, without even looking, I knew it was Death Valley Girls. You can recognize Bonnie Bloomgarden’s gritty-sweet vocals from a mile away. “Disaster (Is What We’re After)” is the lead single off Death Valley Girl’s forthcoming album titled Darkness Rains. The new track had me instantly tapping my foot and banging my head. Had I not been in a quaint little coffee shop, I probably would have whipped off my ear buds, cranked up the volume and romped around the room with my baby in tow. The new track gets especially spicy around the two-and-a-half-minute mark where the guitar licks get real hot.

To top it all off, Death Valley Girls’ new song also comes with a new video, featuring none other than Iggy Pop. Watch it below!

Death Valley Girls’ new album Darkness Rains is out October 5th via Suicide Squeeze. The band will tour in support of their new record with a 30-date U.S. fall tour, with a hometown show at the Teragram Ballroom on October 3, supporting Roky Erickson.
