Premiere: Be Wary of False Prophets, Warns Brother Oliver

Brother Oliver

When we are desperate, we become irrational. Recklessness makes us prone to fall for schemes from unsavory characters. South Carolina’s Brother Oliver tells us to be wary around new people with unusual ideas; their new single “False Prophet” is a powerful bit of wisdom. Listen to it exclusively below and grab tickets to their upcoming True North Tour, where they will be traveling around the southeast.

“‘False Prophet’ is an action-packed song about the battle for your own beliefs and the many voices that fight for our minds in the modern day. Whether it be the giants of the web, leaders in office, or ‘God’s messengers,’ the pushed narratives are non-stop and never-ending.” – Andrew Oliver, frontman/guitarist

The new single is succinct. Guitar riffs meet a fluid effect to enhance the melody as lyrics warn us of duplicitous figures. The world teems with such figures these days, all lurking with their schemes and untruths, trying to tear us down, then apart, until we are frightened husks. But just a moment of independent thought makes all the difference. Challenging an idea is not adversarial if you learn from the discourse; only false prophets would have you believe otherwise.
