Levitt Pavilion’s Collaboration with Boombox LA brings Peanut Butter Wolf, Dj Nu-Mark and more to MacArthur Park July 16 – Free

On Saturday, July 16 — Levitt Pavilion LA — presented in part by Boombox LA, will host an evening of dope hip hop artists and DJs including Peanut Butter Wolf, Dj Nu-Mark, Inka One, Ben Diggin, and Dj Analog. Get to know a bit about each DJ below and be sure to RSVP for the evening. As aways, all summer concerts at the Levitt are FREE.

Levitt Pavilion Los Angeles (Levitt LA) just kicked off its 15th season of free summer concerts in East Los Angeles’ MacArthur Park. Featuring artists that reflect the cultural mosaic of Los Angeles, plus a handful of international guests, the iconic outdoor series has an outstanding lineup of 30 concerts this summer spanning a variety of genres including cumbia, rock, soul, ska, salsa, electronic dance music, hip-hop, folklorico music from Mexico, Central & South America, and more.

About the Artists

Peanut Butter Wolf: Stones Throw Records owner, staple LA DJ and music visionary Peanut Butter Wolf has had a hand in helping cultivate some of the best underground and progressive rappers around including the collaboration of artists MF DOOM and Madlib as Madvillain to rising star Anderson Park. Also famed for his expansive record collection, Peanut Butter Wolf is an enigmatic performer and curator of good hip hop and rap.


DJ Nu-Mark: Legendary Jurassic 5 member, producer, turntablist and Hot Plate Records owner DJ Nu-Mark will be bringing his rich, lush beats to MacArthur Park. With a new EP released at the beginning of this year and decades of experience, both with Jurassic 5 and as a solo artist, DJ Nu-Mark harnesses the intrinsic rhythm of Los Angeles, his hometown, and distills them in rambunctious beats.

Inka One: With 20 plus years experience as a DJ mixing fresh beats, Inka One has brought his unique blend and DJ style around the world and online, from dive bars, international festivals and the Walt Disney Concert Hall to vibing out on live streaming sessions with internet sensations, The Boombap Kids.

Ben Diggin: Co-founder and resident DJ of Boombox LA, Ben Diggin is influenced and inspired by the bountiful and talented rappers and hip hop artists who have come out of the West coast.

DJ Analog: Member of LA’s Beat Junkie Institute of Sound, DJ Analog is known for his deep selection of music and intricate cuts in his sets.

With the Levitt’s July 16 event just being one of the many free summer concerts at the Levitt Los Angeles, the iconic community venue prides itself on making unique LA music and culture accessible for all in the city.

“We’re coming back stronger than ever this summer,” says Matthew Himes, Levitt LA’s Director of Programming and Production. “With over 150 performances, 50 genres, and many surprises, there’s a little something for everyone. We can’t wait to see everyone dance, laugh, and enjoy the incredible music under the stars with all their friends and families and make new connections with each other.”

This year, Levitt LA’s concerts will be live-streamed and available after the season on YouTube, expanding the accessibility of free high-quality concerts for all.
