Colombian experimental dance project Soltera has shared a new music video for their hypnotic track “Me Olvidé” off last year’s Sin Compromiso EP. The four-minute track served as the finale for the six-song collection and as such is a relentless sonic soundscape of mesmerizing electronica. And the new video for “Me Olvidé,” directed by L. Coats, captures the euphoric energy of Soltera’s music in visually stunning ways.

Shot in a blur of fish eye distortion, the video warps you into a variety of sceneries, from inside an elevator to a green field. The constant is Soltera and her companions as they dance in high contrast shadows and glow in over-saturation. Trippy and somehow both kinetic and sedated the music video for “Me Olvidé” gives a visceral illustration of the effect of Soltera’s enigmatic beats and vocals as you lose yourself to it.

Created by Colombian-American artist Tania Ordoñez, Soltera started self-producing her own music in 2018. Drawing on the heavy use of synthesizers, drum machines, and anything else that helped advance her darkly entrancing electronica, Soltera released her debut EP Sin Compromiso just last year. Its wildly cathartic and vigorous soundscapes offer a space in which fans can rage to completion whatever emotions they feel the need to purge. The new music video for “Me Olvidé” is a passionate example of just that sentiment.
