Tickets to Neil Young’s Coastal Tour go on sale starting Wednesday, June 14 at 10 a.m. local time. However, fans can access presale tickets as early as Tuesday, June 13th. The tour kicks off on June 30th at The Ford outdoor theater in Los Angeles, where Neil Young is expected to perform 4 shows (June 30, July 1, 3, 5). The celebrated singer-songwriter will have an additional L.A. tour date at the Greek Theatre on Thursday, July 13th. The scenic tour will continue with additional shows in some of the West Coast’s most beautiful cities, including Santa Barbara, San Diego, Napa, and more.

What is the Neil Young Presale Code?
In an effort to help minimize scalping and keep ticket prices at face value for fans, Neil Young is collaborating with the venues ticketed by Ticketmaster to make sure tickets can only be resold at their original price. Fans that want to sell their tickets at these venues can use Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange.
Please note: as a music blog that’s made for fans, and created by fans — we must mention we don’t understand why we’re seeing “official platinum” ticket options for Neil Young’s Coastal tour. The face value exchange is nice and all, but Official Platinum tickets use dynamic pricing, which is very unfair to fans trying to score fairly priced tickets. Learn more below.

A Live Nation promoter presale will take place on Tuesday, June 13th at 10am local time. Select the city you want to see Neil Young and use the following presale code at check out: DISCO.
Greek Theatre LA Presale
For Los Angeles fans, you also have the option to take part in the Greek Theatre venue presale on Tuesday, June 13th at 10am. Select your seat, and use the following presale code at check out: GREEK2023.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, June 14 at 10 a.m. local time.
What Are Those Official Platinum Tickets?
If you’re seeing very expensive tickets that are not VIP, those are official platinum tickets. These tickets are very expensive and are offered well over the standard ticket prices. They’re the kind of ticket pricing that is unfair to fans. The Event Organizer(s) has priced these tickets according to their market value (aka dynamic pricing). In other words, ticket pricing can go up or down, and it usually goes up.
Artists can choose not to offer Official Platinum or limit the amount for charity purposes. The Cure, Pearl Jam and U2 have all been recognized as artists that don’t use these dynamic pricing tactics.
Official platinum tickets do not include VIP packages. The only positive thing about them is they make buying floor or front-row tickets to a high-demand concert very easy if you’re willing to shed the extra coin. They can be bought during a presale without a presale code (doesn’t always apply to Verified Fan). Availability and pricing for official platinum tickets are subject to change based on demand.
If money is not an object, you should definitely bank on the convenience of getting Official Platinum tickets.
Beware of Speculative Concert Ticket Listings
Please note: DO NOT buy your tickets from any online reseller before tickets have officially gone on sale! Many online resellers, similar to VividSeats and StubHub, will claim to have tickets to concerts before they go officially go on sale. But they don’t! These are called “speculative concert ticket listings.” These online resellers are banking on the fact that their bots and “staff” will be able to purchase a bunch of concert tickets to shows that are expected to sell out. Resellers double, triple, and sometimes quadruple the price because they know ride-or-die fans will pay any price to see their favorite bands, artists, and groups live on stage.
As mentioned above, the only time you should resort to resale tickets is when the show you want to attend is sold-out.
Please note: as previously mentioned, Neil Young is using Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange. This means any tickets being sold on resell sites are not legit. And if you buy those speculative tickets, you just might have your ticket canceled like so many Cure fans did.
Pro Tips When Buying Your Tickets
First, on the day of the presale or general onsale (whichever you prefer), login to your Ticketmaster account (go to my account or sign in located on the upper right corner of the page) at least 15 minutes ahead of the sale time. If you don’t have one, create one now.
Be sure to add your billing info (aka credit card info) before jumping into the digital queue for a quick check-out. Once the presale starts, remain in the digital queue. Only use one browser window because using multiple browsers or devices and multiple accounts with the same phone number can result in errors. Trust, it’s happened to us before! Don’t refresh your page, do be patient, don’t leave your page, do get those tickets!
