After their debut self-titled album made waves back in 2022, it was only a matter of time before Wet Leg – now a five-piece band – would return for a much-anticipated sophomore album. While moisturizer, their follow-up album via Domino, won’t be out until July 11, lead single “catch these fists” finds the band flourishing in their pocket of indie rock and coming out on the other end with a track as bouncy as it is catchy.

With their expectedly witty sense of humor, “catch these fists” takes after trademarks from new wave, electroclash, and other genres in a confrontational song that turns into a dissection on invasion of privacy. Lyrics like “We’re on our way to the club / Stupid is, stupid does” and “Some guy comes up, says I’m his type / I just threw up in my mouth” are what Wet Leg have become known for, all while over a razor sharp guitar and drums that practically slap you in the face. There’s no question that Wet Leg lives up to the title, hitting hard in a fitting follow-up.

After several small-club and promo shows in Los Angeles, Wet Leg is headed on a UK and European tour. Visit Wet Leg on Instagram and their website to stay updated on new releases and tour dates.
