During both weekends of Coachella 2025, numerous artists expressed their solidarity with Palestine. Ireland’s Kneecap and New York’s Darkside delivered poignant speeches, while internationally renowned acts like Green Day made clever lyrical changes. Social media was flooded with scenes showcasing this powerful solidarity.
Australia’s AmyL & The Sniffers shared their “love and support for all the trans people, gay people, Black people, to all the immigrants illegal and legal as well, including women and men … I would also like to extend my heart to the people in Palestine and the people in Ukraine, because fuck dying in any capacity and fuck, getting murdered by other people for bullshit.”
Blonde Redhead made one of the most moving and poignant shows of solidarity with Palestine as they closed their set at Coachella with the voiceover of Mahmoud Khalil from the documentary The Encampments by BT Newsroom and Watermelon Pictures.
Nicolás Jaar of Darkside called out the U.S. administration and its ongoing deportations and how they “keep on arming and funding, also with tech in Silicon Valley, the genocide of the Palestinian people, and arming and funding Israel’s system of apartheid and ethnic cleansing.” [Watch the video]
During Clairo’s weekend one Coachella performance, Senator Bernie Sanders popped in and praised Clairo for her activism. “I’m here because Clairo has used her prominence to fight for women’s rights, to try and end the terrible, brutal war in Gaza where thousands of women and children are being killed,” shared Sanders.

Each artist’s display of solidarity for the Palestinian people was met with tremendous cheers and applause. Numerous fans chanted “Free Palestine” as the keffiyehs that protected their heads and noses from Coachella’s immense sunshine and dust were pulled off in the evening and waved like flags.
Meanwhile, fans at home chimed in the conversations across social media.
“Love to see all this incredible solidarity. We are close. The tipping point is near.”

“That’s how you use a platform!!”

“I hope this sets a precedent for festival season. The amount of brave bands with big hearts who showed their solidarity with Palestine was incredible. I pray for those innocent children and families every day.”
~ @alissagoesthere
Naturally, those in opposition (especially hordes of bots) chimed in, as well as shared their Trump “nobody cares” gifs and clown emojis.
“Cause that’s what we all love- bands being political.”
~ @mraviddancer2u
“Kids went into debt to hear propaganda bullsh*t”
~ @beardobeens
Although many artists have supported Palestine at past festivals and concerts, this is the first major music festival where we’ve witnessed such overwhelming support from performers. The fact that it is Coachella, the crème de la crème of music festivals, speaks volumes.

Artists Against Apartheid were in attendance and captured every bit of solidarity at Coachella including photos with bands who signed the statement.
Since the grand show of support across both weekends at Coachella, pro-Israel bots (and some humans) have infiltrated just about every post from the official Coachella Instagram.
