Hollywood Blvd on a Tuesday Summer night knows how to party. With the recent release of their first Best Of album, Joy In Repetition, Hot Chip brought down the house on Tuesday night at The Fonda.
Joy In Repetition gave longtime Hot Chip fans the full spectrum of the band’s emotional and nostalgic catalog. From the pulse-pounding energy of crowd favorites like “Ready For The Floor,” “I Feel Better, and “Over and Over,” to the introspective tenderness of tracks like “Boy From School and “Melody of Love,” the performance captured every shade of their sound. The crowd responded in kind—dancing, swaying, and soaking up every moment.
The group even performed “Someday” by CeCe Rogers.
Given the state of the world, it’s the beauty of music that brings everyone together.

“There’s joy in doing something again and again,” says Alexis Taylor. “That’s true of rhythms, of grooves and of making records together for 20 years. We’re still doing it. We still love doing it.”
