Back for its fourth year in a row, Moon Block is gearing up for its annual Desert Daze festival – the ultimate music getaway in Southern California. This year the festival will be popping off on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Sunset Ranch Oasis in Mecca, CA and will be headlined by Warpaint, Failure, and RJD2. Desert Daze will also feature The Budos Band, DIIV, Deap Vally, Chelsea Wolfe, Gap Dream, LA Witch, Jesus Sons and more! Peep the full list of performers in the flyer below.
Moon Block events are organized by an ever growing collective of artists and musicians, including members of JJUUJJUU, Deap Vally, and Fever the Ghost, just to name a few. Desert Daze is smaller than Coachella and very welcoming with its cozy and laid back outdoor house party vibes. What’s not to love? It’s no wonder that we here at Grimy Goods have been covering Desert Daze since its inception in 2012. Last year we gave away a pair of tickets and camping passes, this year we’re doing it again. Desert Rat local, this event is going in our own back yard, it’s exciting to see these bands rolling through our town. I’m hard working valley girl and it’s tough to go to a lot of these festivals. Due to the weather out here our electric bill keeps rising and it difficult to spare $20 let alone $55, home girl has to survive. I’ve a big fan of Deap Valley and would love to see them live.
