Headed to Vegas this weekend to sing your emo and pop punk heart out at When We Were Young fest? Well then, you better grab the set times to plan your day of action.

As always, with these types of festivals where they pack in way too many bands in one day, you’ll be very disappointed because there are tons of overlaps. To add to the disappointment, both The Distillers and the All-American Rejects announced they would not perform at When We Were Young 2024.

A statement was shared by The Distillers on their social media with quite the generous offer for fans.

“As some of you might know by now, We are not playing when we were young festival. We are sad not to and we are sorry for any inconvenience or upset this has caused you. We weren’t able to announce until the festival put their schedule up, the festival doesn’t offer refunds. If you’re only going because of us and in lieu of a refund, please dm us your name, a photo of your tickets and the town you live in, we will put you on our guest list for a show in your town or a town of your choice. Please keep your tickets for validation.”

The Rejects also shared a statement on their social media:

“It is with deep sadness and disappointment that we have to announce that we will no longer be playing When We Were Young festival next weekend.”

“We have spent months tirelessly preparing a once in a lifetime show that we were so excited to bring to you.”

“However, there has been a management change within the WWWY operation, and they are no longer able to accommodate us in the previously agreed upon line-up, which has made it impossible for us to continue.”

“We are especially devastated to not get to play for those of you who are traveling across the globe to witness the visual and sonic spectacle we have been brewing up in our cauldron. We’d like to apologize to our amazing crew who have been working around the clock to make magic happen.”

Boys Like Girls and The Paradox have instead been added to the the lineup.

Headlined by My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy, When We Were Young returns to the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on October 19, 2024.

Tickets to When We Were Young are not sold out! Tickets start at $325 $405, with VIP at $659. This includes all fees.

The 2024 When We Were Young festival will feature over 50 bands in its third year. Each band will perform an album front-to-back including My Chemical Romance performing The Black Parade, Jimmy Eat World’s Bleed American, Pierce The Veil’s Collide With The Sky, The Used’s In Love and Death, Simple Plan performing No Pads, No Helmets, Dashboard Confessional’s Dusk and Summer, Coheed and Cambria’s Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, along with Nada Surf’sLet Go, in addition to rare reunions from Cobra Starship performing ¡Viva La Cobra! and Chiodos performing All’s Well That Ends Well and much more.
