Japanese Breakfast is back and headed on a U.S. and European tour in 2025. The band, fronted by the beloved singer-songwriter Michelle Zauner, shared the news of a 2025 tour supporting their forthcoming new album, For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women). The announcement arrived with a moody new song, “Orlando in Love,” and fans are going wild for it.

The Melancholy Tour is Japanese Breakfast’s first tour in three years, following the success of the Jubilee Tour in 2022. The 2025 tour dates include concerts in San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Denver, Atlanta, Brooklyn, and other U.S. and European cities. Ginger Root will join Japanese Breakfast on their U.S. tour dates.

But what about Los Angeles? You may be wondering why Japanese Breakfast isn’t performing there in L.A. First, don’t worry. The Los Angeles tour date for Japanese Breakfast will be announced later. Since they’re set to perform at Coachella, they must follow certain booking rules (known as the radius clause). This rule prevents bands who are performing at Coachella from playing shows at nearby venues until their Coachella radius clause expires. Expect more tour dates to be announced—specifically in Los Angeles.
