Donned in a ski mask, producer Tesh first popped up less than a year ago after pivoting from DJing to making music full-time. The results speak for themselves, with “FINGERTIPS” being a bouncy dance track that bridges between UK garage and modern EDM ahead of a planned EP release. Just about everything about this song is fast-paced, ranging from the female vocals to the BPM, which ensures “FINGERTIPS” never slows down. For the brief moments when the track moves between pockets of franticness, there’s still the sense that time is running out for the female vocalist and whoever it is she’s speaking to––capturing the spontaneity of a club encounter.
The song unfolds as part of a larger theatrical narrative, weaving through my personal journey of love, loss, and emotional duality,” said Tesh. “It explores those tender moments of intimacy that live in our memory – moments that carry both the warmth of happiness and the ache of knowing they’ve passed. FINGERTIPS reflects on the fleeting nature of beautiful things, and how their temporary existence makes them all the more precious.”
“FINGERTIPS” is the lead single off Tesh’s forthcoming debut EP, CYCLES + REPETITIONS, which will be released via San Holo’s bitbird imprint.
