California fans: If you didn’t secure tickets to Metallica’s Sphere residency in Las Vegas, the band’s San Diego show at Snapdragon Stadium on May 13 is your next best option.
All tickets will be sold through Metallica’s official Ticketmaster event page unless otherwise noted.

Legacy Member Presale
Legacy Members get the very first crack at tickets. The Legacy Member presale opens Monday, September 21 at 10 AM local time and runs through Tuesday, September 22 at 9:45 AM local time. If you’re not a Legacy Member, you can skip ahead to the next presale.
Fifth Member Presale
No Legacy membership? The Fifth Member presale is your best early shot. It starts Monday, September 21 at 12 PM local time and ends Tuesday, September 22 at 9:45 AM local time. Fifth Member is the band’s free fan club.
Verizon Shine Presale Tickets
Verizon customers can get in through Verizon Shine, the carrier’s loyalty program. Opt in through the My Verizon app, then head to the presale when it opens on Tuesday, September 22 at 10 AM local time. You’ll see the “Verizon Presale Tickets” option and will be asked to connect your account to unlock the presale. The Verizon presale runs until Thursday, September 24 at 10 PM local time and is available in all markets except Vancouver, Raleigh, and Madison.
Citi Cardmember Presale
Citi cardmembers can access presale tickets beginning Tuesday, September 22 at 10 AM local time through Thursday, September 24 at 10 PM local time. Once you select your tour date, use your Citi card to complete the purchase. If asked for a presale code, use the first 6 digits of your Citi card as the presale code.
Reserved by Spotify
Spotify listeners can try Reserved by Spotify, which opens Wednesday, September 23 at 10 AM local time and closes Thursday, September 24 at 10 PM local time. It’s available in all markets except Raleigh and Madison.
Live Nation Presale
The Live Nation presale is the last chance before the general on-sale, and it’s a short window: Thursday, September 24 from 10 AM to 10 PM local time. To get instant access to the Live Nation presale, you will need to sign up for a free membership to Live Nation’s All Access program.
When you sign up for Live Nation All Access, you don’t need a presale code. Once the presale begins, just log in to Ticketmaster using the same email address you used to create your Live Nation All Access account. The presale tickets will automatically be unlocked for you.
